Breaking News: Updating the current status of the Teaneck Township-promoted Covid-19 testing site in the FDU parking lot. This picture was taken at 3:45 on Wednesday afternoon May 13. An identical picture could have been taken at 11:30 am. If a picture had been taken at 9:45 on Monday, May 11 (the first day of the Sunrise Diagnostic Lab’s operation) it would have differed only in the there would have been 3 police patrol cars protecting the two testing workers’ cars whereas today there was but one. Teaneck Transparency (TT) has yet to observe any resident seeking testing at the site. Teaneck Transparency wants to thank all of those Teaneck Councilmen and Town officials who are said to have worked for weeks to bring this facility to us to meet the apparent aforementioned demand for its services. What is the explanation? See below.

Only symptomatic residents of Teaneck were/are able to get this less complete Covid-19 Testing regime beginning May 11 for which some of the costs for uninsured residents are being paid by the Township – so that a private profit-making testing service (how chosen?) can sell its services .

ASYMPTOMATIC RESIDENTS ? OUT OF LUCK !
BUT WAIT
Meanwhile, all Bergen County residents are eligible to obtain what the County is providing with FAR SUPERIOR multiple-type testing, less invasive/less painful tests free for both symptomatic and asymptomatic persons at a mobile lab that was in in Hackensack (5/13) or Englewood (5/12) and will be in Fort Lee next Tuesday the 19th. See the news report on NJTV about the 500 tests done yesterday (5/13) in Hackensack at minute 15 of click here
Pictures from this newscast of the Hackensack mobile testing operation and of County Executive Tedesco being interviewed, followed by selective County program snips, are found below.

Why are County mobile labs NOT scheduled to be in Teaneck – Bergen County’s 2nd largest municipality?

Does someone have a good hypothesis worth testing as to why Teaneck is not on the County’s mobile testing agenda.

An OPRA sent to the Town on 5/7 seeking information about the processes being employed by Teaneck to manage its part of this “public-private” partnership with Sunrise has to-date received only the explanation that the Clerk’s office is too strapped to provide the requested info.

What is completely unclear is why Teaneck residents were bothered just before 11 on Sunday morning (as they had been the previous afternoon) by this call promoting a private service:

Is something rotten in the state of Teaneck?
