Why has Orgen missed 10 of 11 EC Meetings

No show!  This post explores the pretend confusion about the current appointee to a critically important official role in Teaneck: the Environmental Commission (EC) member who is also a full member of the Planning Board (PB). A statement about this position to the EC by Councilman Kaplan fails to explain why the fully legitimate appointee to those two boards has to-date simply been “left out of” – or to have left herself out of – the discussion.

The claim that this position needs to be filled is shown to be false. Orgen is that appointee! There is, however, an issue: which may explain why Orgen and friends are making up this fake “we need someone to fill this role” story!
Karen Orgen had missed 10 of the last 11 meetings of the Environmental Commission – leaving it and the Planning Board without the statutorily required go-between. The video shows that Teaneck’s voters deserve an immediate explanation from Ms. Orgen, a current candidate to be elected a Teaneck Council member. People expect their public officials to “show up”.

Below you will find the fully executed letter of appointment to Karen Orgen to be an EC member to 6/30/2021 from then Manager William Broughton. And below it will you find the Town website’s record of the 7/9/2019 vote by Teaneck’s Council to appoint Ms. Orgen to a full term as a Class IV Planning Board member. The only thing missing in all this is Ms. Orgen’s attendance!
But wait – perhaps Ms. Orgen had resigned. Nope, an OPRA response from the Township’s Acting Clerk dated 4/21/2020 reports, “I cannot locate a resignation letter”. Case closed.
